alot of you may remember the brush cleaner i have used for the past year on here
i felt it was time for an upgrade…
this time i grabbed a Jam Jar ( yes i repurpose everything i can think of lol ), and a bit of metal screen
i cut a piece of screen slightly larger than the base of the jar
gently fold the edges down a bit on the screen
and then insert into the jar folded side down
the folded portion keeps the screen off the bottom of the jar
add your thinner till it is about 1/2 inch above the screen
this setup allows you to use the screen as a kind of washboard on the brush’s bristles while allowing sediment to settle to the bottom
no worry about sticking your brush in the muck in the bottom of your cleaning jar.
